Training the Trainers

That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

2 TIMOTHY 3:17

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day;

teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

As the population of the Left Behind Children surpasses 61 million, the only way to reach the less fortunate kids effectively is by educating and training the local people in order for them to  take up the responsabilities of day to day caring of the children.  The foundation of our training is based off the Biblical Teachings and spiritual growth in Christ.

We recognize the importance of training the trainers as the most crucial part in growing this ministry.
 Building up local volunteers is an essential part of the foundation of our organization.

 We focus on five ways to equip these volunteers:

  1. Vision and Mission
  2. Biblical teaching –(source of receiving strength)
  3. Understanding on Overall Children Development -- Physical and Psychological needs
  4. Use of teaching materials: computer and software programs …
  5. Classroom techniques and Team work spirit

Our basic requirement for volunteers is:
Act out the Christian faith

In rural areas where most of the things are so primitive and limited, we are seeing God’s abundant provision.  Amongst our volunteers, we have been identifying many elite teachers.  It is our wish to train them up as the leaders and trainers to pass along the torch.  Amongst the elites, those who are blessed with the gift of teaching are encouraged to become Sunday school teachers at their local churches.

We have four very devoted and qualified teachers from Hong Kong. They have travelled to eight different provinces and over 30 villages during the past three years. With the help and coordination of local churches, we managed to reach our over 5000 volunteers . The response from the local villages was so overwhelming that each training session was fully booked, sometimes over 300 attendants.

Our North American Teams have also participated and supported the Ministry by offering insight from their related teaching experiences.

If you have past experience with teaching or education, we would love to invite you to join us.
